IPL 6: Expensive Jennifer Lopez out, Pitbull in

India's Premier League dropped Hollywood pop diva Jennifer Lopez from performing at the opening ceremony of the sixth season of IPL due to her expensive demands. Jennifer Lopez demanded a private plane for her and her huge entourage and she too asked for hotel rooms for all those who are accompanying her including her stylists, assistants and chef.
The organizers said Jennifer’s demand to be outrageous. "The demands were outrageous. She effectively priced herself out of the event. It was idiotic because the audience for this event is huge," a source said.
However, her spokesperson denied the report and said that Jennifer Lopez has turned down the deal because of her prior commitments. They said she is busy recording an album. "She had turned down the deal because she was busy recording an album," said Lopez's spokesperson.
Last year, international singer Katy Perry dressed in Bollywood attire was roped in to perform and about 56 million people watched her performance.
Shahrukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment was given the responsibility to organize the grand event and King Khan has roped in international rap artist Pitbull to perform alongside Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone.

The inaugural ceremony will be held at Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata on April 2, 2013.

Mona SinghThe Mumbai police have launched an investigation into the complaint of TV actress Mona Singh against an obsceneMMS clip , morphed to look like her, that has gone viral on social networking sites.

The police have registered a case against unknown persons and are trying to trace the IP address of the computer from which the clip was uploaded.

Police suspect that the culprit(s) is someone known to the actor.

"We suspect involvement of some local elements and we are trying to trace the IP address of the computer from where it was uploaded," a police officer said.

The case was lodged on Friday under the Information Technology Act.

Mona, who is reported to be close to model-turned-actor Vidyut Jamwal, said she did not suspect any acquaintance to be behind the "disgraceful act".

The actress shot to fame with her role in serial Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin.

"It is completely disgraceful that someone on the web can go to the extent of morphing my face onto someone else's body to create a sensational video. We are hoping to find the culprit," she said.

IPL opening ceremony organisers cancel Jennifer Lopez's act

The 43-year-old — whose unending list of demands included a private plane and dozens of hotel rooms for her huge entourage, including her stylists, assistants and chef — has instead been replaced by rapper Pitbull for Tuesday’s event in Kolkata which will also see Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif perform, according to a report in The Sun.

A source privy to the list told the British tabloid: “The demands were outrageous. She effectively priced herself out of the event. It was idiotic because the audience for this event is huge.”
However, Lopez’s spokesperson claimed that it was the singer who turned down the lucrative deal to perform for nearly 60 million viewers because she was busy recording an album.
Meanwhile, the story on The Sun’s website attracted a huge response with several readers ridiculing the singer-actress. “The funniest part of all this is this over-rated, over-produced, auto tuned average talent has started to believe her own PR nonsense! Her albums are laughable if you could stand more that a few minutes of the tripe!” a reader called ‘CarlRobbins’ commented.
‘Chimpychops’ said, “Same old story: they all start from nothing, get famous and totally lose the plot. They all become divas and think they are gods.” ‘The-man-is-here’ wondered, “Why negotiate your greedy demands if you are busy with recording a new album? Face it, you are too greedy and a liar

Recently a funny incident happened on the sets of the film Queen starring Kangna Ranaut and Raj Kumar Yadav.

The whole unit was gearing up for shooting a wedding scene. The decor was being done up with flowers and things alike. Nearby some eunuchs heard the sounds of shehnai and saw some baraatis entering the wedding scene. They thought that it was a real wedding so they landed up there and started dancing. Everyone on the set was hassled as to what was happening.

Eventually, the unit came to know the reason the eunuch had come in. "The entire set and all the arrangements looked very real .The entire unit had a good laugh over it", says a unit-hand.

Thereafter the director of the film Vikas Bahl came up with an impromptu idea of incorporating the eunuchs in the song. In northern India it is very common of eunuchs to dance at weddings. The unit approached the eunuchs and informed them that it's not a wedding but a shoot set-up. Subsequently they convinced them to be a part of their shoot.
